Hello all, this is a new thing for me so please bear with me while I get to grips with ‘blogging’! As you may already have heard, a small group of us, who are all interested in the group of railways known as the Ashington, Blyth and Tyne (in the bottom right hand corner of Northumberland) planned a get together to discuss our thoughts.
To make a start, we met on the 6th July 2016 in a local social club to discuss our ideas, agree on a constitution, form the Association and become members.
As our first priority, we are making contact about the buildings in Bedlington to see what is feasible for us to do, but we also have a bank account to set up, a logo to design and agree upon (the present one is an interim design!), and ultimately to recruit more members!
I hope to keep this blog regularly updated, and please visit us on social media, our Facebook page is here: https://www.facebook.com/abtra.northumberland and our Twitter is @ABTRA_NLAND so please feel welcome to join us!
Thanks for reading, yours, R.
