ABTRA & SENRUG Joint Vision for the Butterwell Branch Signed

Some good news following the last SENRUG meeting was their approval of the Joint Vision document that we have drafted with them. This document sets out the Vision of the Butterwell Branch as a potential through route, but with ABTRA aiming to support the route in the intervening time by operating ‘heritage’ type trains on the infrastructure and hopefully re-opening the stretch south of the A1068 and north of Ashington in the interim time.
