Chairmans Update – August 16th 2017

On our Butterwell Branch scheme, we are slowly progressing behind the scenes; we have shared our ideas with the landowners and are awaiting their feedback. We have produced a short video clip to describe what we would like to do with the short section of line north of Ashington in Northumberland, please see link below:

We are also progressing with a proposal for a museum site to exhibit the history of the Ashington, Blyth and Tyne Railway of the past, but this is presently in very early stages, so more on this when we have more news.

In the meantime, we are glad to hear that later this year extra services will call at Morpeth station, please see the SENRUG Chairmans Blog for more information.

Thanks, RH.
